Triple Ear Infections

Yep. Our three little ones each have an ear infection. Lauren woke up this morning with a fever of about 102. With all of the runny noses and confirmation of John's ear yesterday, I decided to go ahead and take Tyler today too. It was likely that I'd end up at the ped's office by tomorrow anyway. After her nap, Lauren's temp was 103.9. Yikes! Her first high fever.

Daddy wasn't here to help tonight, so I enlisted the help of our second family. All I have to do is pick up the phone and the Calvary arrives. The "Get What you Pay for [fill in the blank] service."

Frances and I have this running joke. So far, we need to print up business cards for:
Get What you Pay for paint and wallpaper service
Get What you Pay for moving company
Get What you Pay for babysitting service
Get What you Pay for computer guru

Tonight I got Frances, her sweet hubby Steve, and their two girls-Kaiti and Cassie. A big Thank you goes to all 4! The big people actually outnumbered the little people tonight. That's very helpful when the majority of your kids don't feel well.

Raising multiples is fun 99% of the time when they're healthy (gotta leave room for those few times when they all get wound up at the same time). When they are sick...it takes every ounce of energy you can muster.

"A family is a unit composed not only of children, but of men, women, an occasional animal, and the common cold." ~Ogden Nash

When you have multiples, the quote is modified to add good friends. You just have to hope that you don't often share the colds with them.
