Throwback Thursday #1
Kids can make you crazy. They can make you laugh, cry, yell (hopefully not often), gasp, and shake your head. Sometimes they trigger memories of your own childhood. We're even starting to say things to our kids that our parents said. (I knew that might happen some day.) I've caught my husband, Clif, saying, "Man, I sound like my father!"
What does all of this have to do with the Rubik's Cube looking graphic on the left? My parenting experiences are sending me on trips down memory lane quite often these days. My husband and I are having lots of "Throwback Moments". I thought it would be fun to start posting memories of days past. Childhood stuff, teen stuff, whatever qualifies as a Throwback. I've always been a certified geek and as a child could solve the Rubik's Cube in under 1 minute. So I created an icon for me :-)
This week my flashback is Saturday morning cartoons. My three year old is hooked on Tom and Jerry. We have an video on demand feature on our cable and the Boomerang channel has Tom and Jerry, the Jetsons, the Flintstones, etc. All it took was one episode of Tom and Jerry. He has requested it about 20 times in the last 2 days Doesn't this make you think of Saturday mornings when you were about 8 years old?
A Google search brought me to this page: In the 80s - Saturday Morning TV. Someone decided to take their TV guides from 1979 - 1990. What a hoot!
I'd love to hear about your Throwback Memories. If you'd like to participate, steal the logo above, sign the Mr. Linky below and leave a comment.
