A Busy Halloween

What a day it was. It took all day today for us all to get over the Halloween hangover and the kids didn't really even eat that much candy.

I'm getting a taste of how being a mother of four will be with activities. Right now it's pretty simple as the triplets are in the same preschool class. When they separate I'm not sure how we'll manage activities.

In the morning we had two preschool parties with lots of music and fun. They went down for an early nap and woke up rarin' and ready to go. Halloween was a little weird with the time change being delayed. We started around 6pm and it was not even dusk.

Our Sunday school class has a tradition of coming to our neighborhood to trick or treat. Robert brings his tractor and pulls a trailer with hay. We made it about 1/4 of the way with the triplets and got off with them at our house. Frances took charge of Austin and they made it a little further. Austin was excited to ride with Robert at the wheel for a while.

It was a very successful evening. The three little ones were in bed really close to bed time and Austin made it about 30 minutes past his. We didn't hear a peep the entire night. All day today was catch up and Austin saying, "Can we put up Christmas decorations now?" He's not even 4! I guess he'll be going into retail.

Daddy worked at home today so that he could leave around 4 to go to the GA Tech vs. VA Tech game tonight with some buddies. He has a true guys night out and was really looking forward to it. The rest of us took some r&r this afternoon. Austin and I fell asleep on the couch for a while and the triplets slept until after 5!

Here are a bunch of photos of our day. Next year will be even more fun as they will have a little more stamina. You'll see a couple of photos of Lauren and Tyler with a death grip on a package of M&Ms. Lauren had three pieces of candy that she wouldn't let go of the whole trip.

ADORABLE!

As for activities, a friend of mine with first grade multiples ended up putting them in the same classroom after Kindegarten was just too much. She said that with four kids in the house it was too much to coordinate 3 different parties, 3 different library days, 3 different sets of homework, etc. It was something I hadn't even thought of in the whole "to seperate or not to seperate in school" question.
